Job Context
- Maintain, test, and repair fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems to ensure zero equipment failure during an emergency.
Job Description/Responsibility
- Inspect all fire extinguishers monthly – refill, seal, and tag correctly.
- Test hydrant line pressure, fire pump auto-start, and jockey pump weekly.
- Check smoke detectors, manual call points, and hooters for functionality.
- Replace damaged pipes, nozzles, hoses, and pressure gauges immediately.
- Maintain service logbook with date, findings, and action taken.
- Assist during fire drills – reset alarms and system after drill.
- Respond to any fire equipment fault within 15 minutes.
- Keep spare cylinders, valves, and seals in proper inventory.
- Coordinate with an external servicing agency for hydrostatic testing.
- Clean control panel and deactivate false alarms without disabling safety.
- Support fire safety at other office establishments at Dhaka and assist.
Additional Academic Requirements
- SSC/ HSC with ITI/ Fitter trade or Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical.
Experience Requirements
3 - 7 years of experience is required.

- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (FMCG), IT Enabled Service, Shipping, Food (Packaged)/Beverage, Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM), Group of Companies, Packaging Industry, Cement Industry, Cement, Steel
Skills Requirements
- Age At least 21 years
- 3+ years in fire equipment maintenance.
- Certification: Basic fire pump and extinguisher servicing course.
